Ryan Cantrell

Manager, Client Advisory
Ryan Cantrell is a Client Advisory Manager at The Alliance Group. He recently concluded his tenure at PwC at the end of the year, where he served as an Assurance Manager for approximately five years. During his time at PwC, Ryan primarily worked within the Tech industry, focusing on Telecommunications and Cybersecurity clients, many of which were publicly traded. His responsibilities encompassed various aspects of testing, but he found particular enjoyment in GL accounting and SEC reporting/financial statement preparation and analysis. Ryan also harbors a passion for data analysis and accounting automation.

Residing in Baltimore City since 2019, Ryan’s journey began after graduating from Towson University in December of 2016. Initially, he returned to his hometown in Annapolis, MD, where he spent approximately two years working as a Staff Accountant at a small non-profit called Trace International. Following his CPA licensure, Ryan sought opportunities with the Big 4 firms in Baltimore and eventually secured a position at PwC, prompting his return to Baltimore.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Ryan is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys both playing and watching various sports. Recently, he has developed a keen interest in pickleball. Ryan is thrilled to transition back to the audit side and broaden his accounting expertise while building relationships with the exceptional team at The Alliance Group.
